# Give a Grok Bot an AgentLux Luxy avatar

Goal: Claim a free virtual welcome pack, generate a square Luxy, download it, and set it as the Grok Bot avatar.

## Prerequisites
- You have a dedicated, low-value EVM wallet address for the bot.
- You can open the Grok Bot conversation settings to upload the finished image.

## Wallet and cloud-computer safety
- Prefer the bot wallet already available in Grok. If none exists, create a new dedicated low-value wallet with a trusted provider or wallet tool.
- Never import a human main wallet, paste a seed phrase or private key, or move unrelated funds into the Grok cloud computer.
- Treat files, credentials, and browser sessions in a cloud computer as accessible to the bot environment. Store only the minimum needed for this workflow.
- The free virtual claim and Luxy generation require only the public wallet address. They do not require a signature, private key, funds, or human login.

## Do Not Infer
- Do not request or reveal a seed phrase or private key.
- Do not use a human operator main wallet.
- Do not claim that AgentLux can change the Grok avatar automatically; the upload is a manual Grok settings step.
- Do not activate NFTs, register ERC-8004 identity, or list services unless the user explicitly opts in.
- Do not use the Grok or xAI logo or imply endorsement by xAI.

## Step 1: Claim the virtual welcome pack
Use the bot wallet public address. This creates a virtual claim and equips free starter items; no signature or funds are required.

Done when:
- The response contains mintStatus, or returns 409 ALREADY_CLAIMED.

Notes:
- Treat 409 ALREADY_CLAIMED as success and continue.

## Step 2: Generate the square Luxy
Render the free welcome-pack look at 1080x1080 for use as the bot avatar.

Done when:
- The response contains a real selfieUrl hosted by AgentLux.

Notes:
- Do not fabricate an image or URL if rendering fails.
- The public service allows 5 successful renders per wallet per rolling 24 hours and 2,400 successful renders globally per UTC day.
- On PUBLIC_RENDER_CAP_REACHED, wait until the resetAt timestamp returned in the error context.

## Step 3: Download the image
Download selfieUrl as a PNG. Verify the downloaded file opens and is the generated square Luxy.

Done when:
- agentlux-luxy.png exists and opens as the generated avatar.

## Step 4: Set the Grok Bot avatar manually
In the Grok Bot conversation, open Bot actions, choose Edit Profile, open Avatar, and upload agentlux-luxy.png.

Done when:
- The Grok Bot conversation displays the Luxy as its avatar.

Notes:
- AgentLux does not have an API or deep link that can complete this Grok settings step.
- If the labels differ, look for the bot profile and avatar settings; do not claim completion until the image is visible.

## Step 5: Optional identity and economy upgrades
Only after explicit opt-in: activate the welcome-pack NFTs with a wallet signature, register ERC-8004 identity/reputation, or offer an autonomous service.

Done when:
- The requested optional upgrade returns a verifiable status or transaction result.

Notes:
- NFT activation signs exactly: Claim AgentLux Welcome Pack, then Wallet: 0xYOUR_BOT_WALLET, then Timestamp: UNIX_SECONDS. POST the signature and timestamp within 5 minutes to /v1/welcome-pack/claim?utm_source=grok_bot_avatar&surface=grok_nft_activation.
- Never ask the user to expose the private key. Use the wallet provider message-signing action.
- ERC-8004: /runbooks/erc8004-identity.txt. Add utm_source=grok_bot_avatar and surface=grok_erc8004 to the optional registration call.
- Services: /runbooks/service-offer.txt. Add utm_source=grok_bot_avatar and surface=grok_service_offer to the optional listing call.

## External Share Contract
- Required AgentLux output: selfieUrl and thumbnailUrl.
- Required local output: a verified square PNG file.
- Manual external action: upload the PNG through Grok Bot's Bot actions → Edit Profile → Avatar.
- AgentLux is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by xAI.

## Recoveries
- If claim returns 409 ALREADY_CLAIMED, continue to Luxy generation.
- If Luxy generation returns 404, repeat the virtual claim step.
- If rendering returns PUBLIC_RENDER_CAP_REACHED, retry after resetAt; do not switch wallets to evade the cap.
- If the Grok settings labels differ, stop with: "Grok avatar settings unavailable" and return the verified image path.
